After trying all brands of lace front wigs, I have to say that Raquel Welch's is the best. Esp for dark hair. The knots are so fine, while all other brands have noticeable knots.
That's why this wig gets 4 stars, bc of the lace front.
That said, I'm still keeping it. I have mostly HF fiber wigs, so we'll see how this goes. I enjoy working with the HF fibers, and again, I think RW's HF fibers are best. For example, Ellen Wille's lace front and HF are more difficult or noticeable.
But with this one, I chose a style I shouldn't have to want to change much, so we'll see when/ if I get the point to try working with steam on a synthetic wig.
The curls look a lot tighter in the pics, but with a couple brushings, they came loose pretty quickly, which I actually prefer. Now there's just these voluminous huge waves, not even big waves, just a gigantic wave in the hair, very feminine looking.
For those of you who want the tighter curls, not sure how you'd like that. I was fine with those curls coming loose so easily. Was a little worried about them actually.
Feels soft. Cap feels fine for now. We'll see after some wears.
Also, the soft black by JR is a darker black than other brand soft blacks. It's almost like a true or dark black. That's a little concerning as I'm trying to get different styles of the same color to switch them back and forth easily but... hopefully not too noticeable.
