Upstage was the first wig that I bought after trying to learn as much as I could about fit, style, and what would suit my face and two failures with basic cap wigs. The petite fit is perfect, and the color RL29/25 GOLDEN RUSSET is exquisite. I love how natural the lace front and monofilament top look, and I love the movement with the hand tied cap. I was able to change the part to the right side fairly easily. I took this wig to my stylist who trimmed the length, straightened the ends, and removed some of the bulk as there was still too much hair for me. Now I’m very happy with Upstage, and I understand what wig features suit me.

I measure a petite. However, I should have measured with my wig grip on. But this felt small. I also purchased another RW in “petite/average” and it felt too big. I probably could have made the petite work but the color was a disappointment. I looked at the all the videos and all the pictures of shaded biscuit over and over and expected something blonder or more brighter blonde in it (like the pictures). I thought I had finally found the right color in shaded biscuit with decent rooting (unlike EW whose roots on the blondes are way too dark). The wig is cute but I could not get past the color.

First Upstage two years ago was great. Second recently, returned because of flaws. Third recently, cut bangs before noticing flaws. Cap is unusually prickly and itchy plus hair is clumped in places. Can’t fix no matter how much I work with it.

This is my 4th UpStage Wig my first 3 were petite’s no problem with the first 2 went to have the 3rd one cut for my 40th anniversary and discovered the cap was 1/2 inch smaller kept trying to come off my head at my party was in love with the cut n it ended up having to sell it for 200.00 plus shipping. Went and bought the average size and it will not style right or fit my head. This has always been my favorite wig I don’t know what to do😟

I have happily and confidently worn Upstage (average) in color 511 for years. Unfortunately, the ‘new’ cap doesn’t fit securely on the head and a crease forms by the end of the day it stretches so much😕. As a result, I ordered Uptage in petite (my head measures petite/average and I always wore ‘average’), which is snug in circumference (velcro straps as large as possible) and the cap fits better, but still not as secure as the old cap construction. Because of the poor fit, combined with the ‘fake’ looking color distribution (the gray lacks the realistic white/light gray highlights around the face) my favorite RL wig has gone from 5 stars to 3😕 and I am exploring other brands. Please bring back the quality cap construction and realistic coloration of the ‘old’ Upstage!
