Wigs.com: Tell us about yourself and how your journey with hair loss persuaded you to be such an inspiration in the hair loss community.
Tahnee: My name is Tahnee and my journey began with my own hair loss as a professional hairdresser. Yes, it even happens to the girls that know the most about hair! As I noticed my self-confidence being affected by my hair loss, I began searching for any answer I could find. I began to realize there were women just like me from all over the world struggling in silence and trying to find the same solution I was searching for. Now, I get to be the person that holds their hands through this journey and help women find their perfect piece!

Finding Confidence with Wigs
Wigs.com: How has wearing wigs influenced your confidence or other areas of your life?
Tahnee: I think the biggest thing I've realized through wearing wigs is it's okay to try new things I have never tried before and be different from other people. I have noticed myself come to acceptance in other areas of life, and just say- WHO CARES! I am me, and all my experiences in life have made me, me! So, take it or leave it!

My Advice For New Wig Wearers
Wigs.com: What advice would you give to yourself at the beginning of your wig wearing journey?
Tahnee: Give it a chance! Don't knock it until you really give it a full go! You will have moments where you want to give up, or it hurts too hard to try again, but I promise you are on the cusp of a discovery, so keep going! Also, get assistance in your journey. There's nothing wrong with asking for help, especially through something as new and important as your hair.

Wigs.com: What is the biggest challenge with wearing wigs?
Tahnee: The learning curve for sure! The whole goal of wearing a wig is to get it to look as natural as possible. After all, you have a whole new head of hair on your head that you're learning to get used to! Unfortunately, it isn't going to ever look exactly like your old hair. In most cases, I actually feel it'll look better! But, you do have to get used to accepting that it's the next best thing, and allow yourself to enjoy this journey!

Wigs.com: What do you love most about wearing wigs?
Tahnee: My favorite part of wearing wigs is the confidence it gives me to switch up my look at any point and be a different girl every day! Sometimes I'm the football mom with my short blonde bob, taking my kids to and from sports games. Other times, I'm going out on a date with my long black hair, dress, and heels, feeling young and beautiful! It is so much fun!
