So, I own Robin in three colors. Recently, I decided to try it in a light blonde with roots. And that is what prompted me to write--I didn't think about the permatease being the rooted color and wasn't expecting it to be plentiful even around the perimeter of the head (including the forehead/bangs area!) so that numerous short, stubby darker hairs stick out very obviously against the pale blonde all around the top third of the head.
Robin is comfortable, and really doesn't tangle very much at all, especially given its length. It will last you forever--and I really do mean forever! I've had some for years and they're still perfectly fine.
You gotta be prepared for the permatease, though. Noriko goes big on the permatease for their basic cap wigs. You'll find yourself needing to fluff up the wig multiple times in a wearing, and wanting to avoid being directly under strong lighting because it will light up all the permatease like Christmas lights. Lol
I strongly think a person is better off buying this in a medium to dark color and a color without a strong contrast between the root and the rest of the hair so the permatease isn't so jarring.
Anyway, here are some pictures of Robin in sandalwood-h.
I cut bangs into it, so I've included the before and after.
Sandalwood-h is very bright and yellow. It is a stand out color, not muted or quiet! I can't decide if I like it or if I want to try to tone it.
Overall, I do recommend Robin (but with the aforementioned caveats)…
