Our selection of children's wigs are designed with high quality synthetic fibers to mimic the look and feel of natural hair.

• Monofilament wigs refer to the sheer mesh fabric that allows the color of your own scalp to show through the fibers tied to the top of the wig. The hair is either tied or sewn into sections into the top portion of the cap. This allows each of the tied hair to be parted or brushed in any direction.
• Lace front wigs give you a realistic hairline because the hairs are hand tied into the see-through lace material that is extends across the top front of the wig. Depending on the the style, wigs with lace fronts can range from across the forehead to extending to the ears.
• Hand tied wigs are where the individual hairs are tied by hand into the cap to create the appearance of hair growth. These types of wigs are also a great option if you have a sensitive scalp!
• Basic cap wigs are designed by sewing sections of hair, also known as wefts, into a thin elastic material. The open spacing around the wefts allow air to pass through for a breathable style.

In order to determine which size you need to buy for your child, you need to measure their heads for a wig. Wig sizes come in petite, average, and large. You’ll need to get their head circumference measurement, ear to ear measurement, and front back measurement. For this process, use a flexible tape measure. When you’re done getting your child's measurements, compare them with the guide below. 

• Expert Tip: Be sure to measure their head and take their measurements twice for more accurate results.

Here is how you can get your child's measurements: 

1. Head Circumference Measurement: In order to get your head circumference measurement, you’ll need to start at the center of your front hairline. Hold onto one end of the tape measure and follow down the head towards one ear. Make sure the tape measure is resting where the top of your ear meets the head. Next, take the tape measure and wrap it around the back of your head and line it up with your nape. Then, continue to wrap the tape to your other ear before returning back to your front hairline. The last step is to write this measurement down.
2. Ear to Ear Measurement: Before you get your ear to ear measurement, you will first need to establish your “top of head” point. Place the tape measure at the center of your front hairline and measure 7” towards the back of your head. Where your tape measure reaches the 7” line, that is your “top of head” point. Once you’ve located it, bring the tape measure to the top of the ear where it connects to your head. Then, measure across the top of the head, making sure the tape measure is placed on your “top of head” point. Continue measuring to your other ear and record this measurement.
3. Front Back Measurement: To find your front to back measurement, you’ll need to take your tape measure and start at the center of your front hairline. Follow down the center of your head and stop at your nape area. Now you can record this measurement. Next, wrap the tape to your other ear and then back to your front hairline. Record this measurement. 

Child sized wigs have 19” circumference and 12” ear to ear measurement and front to back measurement. 

Petite wigs have 21” circumference, 13” ear to ear measurement, and 13.25” front to back measurement. 

Petite/average wigs have 21.5” circumference, 13.25” ear to ear measurement, and 13.75” front to back measurement. 

Average wigs have 22” circumference, 13.5” ear to ear measurement, and 14.25” front to back measurement. 

Average/large wigs have 22.5” circumference, 13.75” ear to ear measurement, and 14.75” front to back measurement. 

Large wigs have 23” circumference, 14” ear to ear measurement, and 15.5” front to back measurement. 

If your child is going to do any activities that involve sweating, like sports and playing outside, there are a few wig options that are better suited for these ventures:

• Short wigs are great because they keep the hair out of the face.
• Synthetic wigs are also a good option because the fiber feels lighter weight than human hair.
• Basic cap wigs are more breathable because the wefts sewn into the material feel less dense and create more open space, allowing air to flow directly to the  scalp.

Caring for a wig plays a huge role in how long it’ll last. Here are some important tips to keep in mind: 

• Detangle the wig hair often with a wide tooth comb. Also, be sure to use a detangling spray for synthetic fibers.
• Use styling and care products specially made for wigs and formulated for each fiber, especially shampoos and conditioners.
• Place your wig on a wig stand or store it safely in its wig box for long term storage

Wash your child’s wig every 6-8 wears.

• Use lukewarm water and rinse the hair from roots to ends. Do not soak because this could cause tangling.
• Pour shampoo in your hands and work through the hair. Be sure to distribute a small amount of shampoo evenly throughout the hair.
• Rinse thoroughly because incomplete rinsing could dull the hair fibers.
• Spray leave-in conditioner from the mid-shaft to the ends. Remember to avoid the roots or knots.
• Let lukewarm water flow in the same direction of the hair to avoid tangling. Squeeze and press the hair; do NOT wring.
• Gently blot the hair with a towel to get rid of the excess water.
• Gently part the hair with a comb before wig dries. Air dry on a folding wig stand.

• Hand tied wigs are the best option for hair loss and sensitive scalps because the hairs are tied by hand into the cap to avoid poking and irritating the skin. This type of wig creates a very natural look because every individual hair can move like our natural hair for easy combing and styling.
• Double monofilament wigs are also great for sensitive scalps. The monofilament gives a natural look by being able to part the hair in different ways. Every piece of hair along the base is hand tied along with the mesh material to give the appearance of hair growth. Therefore, this allows you to comb and part the hair.
